In anticipation of violence, the National Security Coordinator has urged various security councils across the country to be on high alert.
The warning comes ahead of the announcement of nominees confirmed to go various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) by the Minister of Authorities, Spreading, and Rural Development on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Conscious of the processes, the National Security Council urged the Regional (REGSEC), Municipal (MUSEC), and District (DISEC) Security Councils to confirm that the country’s peace is protected at the announcement of the list of confirmed nominees.
