The Chief Executive Officer for Akosua Barko Foundation and 2024 parliamentary Candidate hopeful for Assin North, Mr Charles Opoku has pledged to adopt initiatives that will impact positively on the lives of constituents.
According to him, the target is to empower the youth in the constituency since they play a critical role in national development.
Speaking at the Inauguration and investiture Service of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Assin Bereku said, “The Bible says train up a child the way he should go” and the church is training you now.
I know many poeple who went through this training and now they are good policemen. Immigration officers, soldiers. It is up to you to listen to advise and avoid bad friends, drugs, alcoholism and fraudulent activities, he said.
The 2024 Parliamentry Candidate Hopeful, Mr Charles Opoku in an interview with Oman FM’s Reporter Nana Yaw Entsie (Prof Ike), said, ” I wants to encourage students to learn to take advantage of the Akosua Baako Foundation scholarships”.
He has promised to help improve the quality of education in the district. He has already set up a hostel, scholarship Scheme and sharing educational materials like books and pens to students in the Assin North District. “Charles Opoku has Love for Assin North District”.
“I’m setting up a microfinance in the District to aid our market men/women and our cocoa and rice farmers.
Also, l am planning to put up a hospital facility at Assin Bereku, the District capital of the Assin North District Assembly. Designs have started in Accra, and beginning of next year 2022 we shall see Construction works.
He finally added that “it is very important especially looking at the state of our country now, we have a lot of young people who are interested in getting jobs andare not gettingit.
We have a lot of young people who have learnt a lot of handy skills, and they need star-up kits to start with. I also deem it fit to also support all these people of Assin North Constituency.
