After Cape Coast High Court in the Central Region declared the 2020 parliamentary election held in the Assin North Constituency as null and void, the New Patriotic Party has its sights set on the by-election.
Under its rules, the NPP party in the Assin North constituency must hold its primaries to elect a candidate for the upcoming election.
Assin North NPP Aspirants contesting in the parliamentary primaries have stepped up underground campaigns ahead of the election.
The New Patriotic Party delegates in Assin North will choose between rhetoric and realities in politics in the likely event that there should be re-election to elect a new member of parliament for the constituency.
However, six hopefuls could compete to be the party’s candidate in the upcoming elections as Emmanuel Antwi Boasiako contemplates his political future.
Mr. Emmanuel Antwi Boasiako’s contribution to the party in the Assin North constituency, started in the year 2013 when the constituency had no sitting NPP member of parliament.
He partially supported the constituency in polling station elections, the constituency executives elections, and the regional executive’s elections with cash. Thus he did strengthen the base of the party before the 2016 general elections.
When the party rolled out to adopt a polling station concept, helped the party win the elections for both parliamentary and Presidential.
Mr. Antwi Boasiako apart from being involved in the constituency activities also participated in the wo)ngbo’ demonstration and wrote most of the placards voluntarily.
He continued to participate in most party activities till 2020 when participated in the NPP party primaries.
Despite losing the primaries to Hon. Abena Duruwaa Mensah continues to support her campaign touching base in Assin North to campaign for the Member of Parliament.
He again gave his pickup truck for use by the party during the registration period and even participated in the process.
He again participated in the the2020 Presidential and parliamentary elections by forming the NPP Loyal Zongo Movement In Ashanti.
He helped in the mobilization of the Free SHS graduate in the Ejisu Municipality, mobilizing more than 600 graduands. He is also a member of the Coalition Of Zongo Youth (CONZY) of the NPP in Ashanti.
Because he works within the Asawase constituency, he on many occasions campaign with the Nasara Group in the Asawase constituency during the 2020 campaign period.
This loyal and dedicated party footsoldier comes from three different towns in the Assin North constituency. Namely Assin Breku, Assin Dansami, and Assin Kushia. This makes him the finest and most preferred choice for the impending elections.
