Assin North MP, James Gyekye Quayson Has Done It Again, Details
Honorable James Gyekye Quayson has done it for the second time since he assumed office as the Member of Parliament for Assin North Constituency.
MPs have responsibilities to three main groups: their constituents, parliament, and their political party.
Honorable James Gyekye Quayson’s performance so far has explained the reason why the people of Assin North voted massively for him in the 2020 election.
Mr. Quayson polled 17,498 votes against 14,793 by the New Patriotic Party’s candidate Abena Durowaa Mensah in the December 7, 2020, parliamentary election.
Although the MP has been battling with court issues as a resident of Assin North, Mr. Michael Ankomah-Nimfah, filed a petition at the Cape Coast High Court challenging his eligibility, he is still working for his constituents.
One of the campaign messages of Mr. Quayson was to make Assin North look as beautiful as a city. He started this mission by donating two hundred (200) street bulbs to the Assin North District Assembly.
On Friday, 16th July 2021 at Assin North District capital, Hon. James Gyekye Quayson together with the National Democratic Congress constituency executives will launch another one thousand (1000) bulbs and it will be shared among the Assembly Members of the District.
