In Ghana, there have been a succession of violent attacks and killings involving spouses or sexual partners in recent years.
A 27-year-old lady has been arrested in Bosuso, Eastern Region, for reportedly beheading her husband.
Racheal Tetteh, the suspect, was discovered with the murder weapon, a cutlass, according to the police report.
Her spouse, Lartey Daniel, 35, was discovered in a pool of blood with a severed head on a farm walk.
His body has since been placed at the Government Hospital of New Tafo Akim.
“The suspect has since been apprehended, and the cutlass with which she is accused of butchering the corpse has been preserved as evidence.”
“The case is currently being investigated. Any subsequent developments will be communicated, according to the statement.
