I’ll be hypocritical to say nothing has been done but what I’m certain about in my mind is the fact that nothing extra has been done. The performance does not commensurate with the nearly 10% or over 1million extra endorsement.
There’s so much greed and self-centeredness in the system coupled with youth oppression. The behaviors of citizens have never been fixed since time immemorial.
Under the previous regime, those behaviors existed but the message was not to fix that but to fix the nation. I won’t say no attempts have been made to try to fix it but you’re gradually disappointing.
This is not what we supported. We did not support greed! No! We did not support impertinence and insolence. Don’t tell us your predecessor did worst because Ghanaians never wanted that, the reason they ejected them for not showing rigour.
For those who are satisfied, it’s okay to be satisfied when others are still eating. The paces are not same. Not everyone is privileged. I get distress calls every now and then which is not about owning a property but basic necessities.
It is normal to build mansions, own lands and buy luxuries with your earnings. But build the system for people to be able to acquire what will provide them with bread and butter too. No one is asking you not to accumulate your wealth but hey fix the system.
YES, FIX IT! Stop annoying the masses and fix the country to serve the interest of all. The currently fixed system serves the privileged. You didn’t create that system which favors the privileged but you’re annoyingly improving that. We demand for a fixed country where the ordinary graduate will earn bread and butter and live a normal decent life.
Education is becoming useless in Ghana. A degree holder today thinks about acquiring a masters degree more than anything because there’s nothing to do with the former. Not because he needs advancement in career but that degree is almost worthless.
A master’s degree holder is considering another masters or a doctorate because that too is nothing. Today, the only source of hope for the youth is to remain in school in perpetuity so his/her parents or guardians can keep giving assistance for sustenance. The hope then is where next can I gain admission?
It’s been nearly 5years of power. Yes…1, 2, 3, 4,…5 and you haven’t gotten over the mess of your predecessor? You knew there was a mess! We all knew! But we believed and supported the promise of improved livelihood and standard of living.
What you have achieved and touting is not that improvement. It is just feeble which is not enough. The youth are roaring within in extreme anger and that anger will soon sprout. When that roll of sprout is called up yonder, some of us will stand with the masses especially the youth and we’ll speak truth with them to power with no shred of fear or favor.
Let me on this note express my disappointment to the youth of the two major groups. You’re a disappointment to the cause of Ghana. Ghana is shedding tears profusely with so much pain on you for supporting everything even when that takes away your own progress and keep blaming one another.
In their era as youth, they fought powers that be even with a change in their menu but today they’re starving us and we stand akimbo with them so we could beg them for a day’s meal. Pity!!!
Ghana youth! Arise and call a spade what it is for we do not support to become puppets!!!
