Residents of Upper Denkyira West have given plaudit to Hon. Daniel Ohene Darko for his three and half months impressive performance as a Member of Parliament and development agent as he embarked on the his thank you tour of the constituency.
The residents expressed their joy and appreciation profusely for his enthusiasm, commitment and the good start to better their livelihoods even at his short stay in parliament with so much possibilities of fulfillment written boldly on their faces.
At Pewodie, the community members were specifically thankful to Hon. Lawyer Darko for promising them borehole this year and his donation to support the building of mosque for Muslim at the community. His promised to complete the 8-years abandoned CHPS Centre at Aburi in 2 months thrilled the four serving community and gave them a sign of relief.
On his 2nd day of the tour, Hon. Daniel Ohene Darko cut sod for the construction of 3 unit classroom block at Ntom for Ntom R/C School. According to him, he made a promise, during his campaign tour, to construct this classroom block, even if he loses.
Parents whose wards have been enrolled in what is now christianed as Lawyer’s Graduates could not hide their joy, as this is the first of its kind in the constituency. The program which is costing the member of parliament not less than GHç120,000.00 has so far successfully registered about 60 students at St. Andrews Senior High School to write their Remedials.
Hon. Daniel Ohene Darko used the opportunity to inspect the ongoing Adeade Junction – Adeade Cocoa Road construction. He promised to offer his best to support the contractor for early completion of the project. He made several donations to support community initiated projects, which included 10 packets of roofing sheets and 10 bags of cement for Adeade Community Health Centre and Ghc1,000.00 each to three communities for their toilet projects.
